Barbara Pederson sent me the following notes and artwork and I think they are lovely. Be sure to look closely at the details in the tangled hair. I also love the way that the paper texture actually creates a new background "tangle" in the colored piece.
Thank you Barb!
I am just a beginner but I did this last night and I just love it. Your book inspires me and the set of cards really help me to think of where patterns will work in my tanglelation.
Here's what I did...
I love making one of your "ladies" and filling in the patterns. I can think of so many ways to do their hair and clothing... it's so much fun. Thanks so much.

Which of your books has the ladies, please?
ReplyDeleteYoga For Your Brain. :-)
DeleteI love your ladies, I did a few angels at Christmas. Sandy, I never knew I could draw. And then I found Zentangle. And yoga for the brain. Love your simple instructions and fun reading. :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear it! Check out "Doodle Revolution" by Sunni Brown too - very inspiring.
DeleteCool! And another suggestion. I love Project Runway and now Under the Gunn. I've been thinking about how need it would be to have some illustrated models in undergarments over which to sketch fashion ideas while the show is on and maybe even have a competition on the sketches. Zentangle enthusiasts would have no problem, for example, with the "create your fabric" competition as can be seen here!
ReplyDeleteYes! Sort of the concept behind Tangled Fashionista... with more of an emphasis on the tangling than the designing of fashion. There are actually some great fashion kits for kids that have nice basic templates that you can then design on top of.
DeleteIt's so great to hear people connect with Zentangle and felt they were not artistic.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know that us guys (some of us anyway) love your art and site too. Well done.

Thank you! I would love to see more guys interacting with this site... heck... I'd like to interact with more guys in general! Where do you hang out? I know there are a lot of men in the art - craft world, but they don't tend to be at the workshops, conferences, on-line, social, etc. scenes. (I am truly curious!)
